Piatto is proud to announce a new sponsorship of Glasgow Rens Basketball — the team they played for as teenagers and credit with shaping their early development. “After all these years, it feels incredible to give something back to the club that gave me so much,” said Kieran. “Being part of Rens as a teenager taught me lessons about discipline, teamwork, and resilience that I’ve carried with me throughout my life and career.” Kieran’s experience with Glasgow Rens left a lasting impression, especially under the guidance of Coach Tackie. “Coach Tackie was more than just a coach — he was a mentor and a role model. His influence went far beyond the court, and I genuinely believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without his leadership.” Yves added, "Joining the Glasgow Rens in my teens was like getting adopted into a loud, competitive, banter-filled family, and Coach Josh was the no-nonsense uncle who made you run suicides and believe in yourself. He taught me the game, life lessons, and what it means to ride for your squad, win or lose." Now, through this sponsorship, Kieran and Yves hope to support the next generation of young athletes coming through the Rens programme. “This partnership is about helping young people access opportunities, grow in confidence, and feel part of something bigger — just like I did all those years ago,” said Kieran. The sponsorship will help fund key activities and development programmes for young players across Glasgow, continuing the Rens’ mission to grow the sport and support youth through basketball.
